Tetralemma Escalation

If I made constant posts about how my life is, they'd all be 'wow so much schoolwork still to do how does it continue to never end'.
And PTE would be bland and terrible like it already is so I use my ~3 day posting scheme to make sure I think about what to post about before posting it so I don't just make an ocean of whining posts.

But I do feel like I need to make a solid update on the tetralemma because it will be reaching a progression point very soon.
As you may remember, the tetralemma is speech class and science-y class causing me problems but because the other exists I don't want to drop one and because of finances I don't want to drop both.
My mom recently got a new job, so theoretically finances may be in better straights soon, but I'm still adamant on not dropping both, still cuz don't wanna waste money and also as it'll also slow my progress on graduation. So the fourth aspect remains there too.
I'm still stressing badly trying to deal with them now, but I am holding on with purpose.
Tomorrow will be the first massive speech, which will determine 15% of my final mark, so it's a significant indicator on how the course will go in the long run.
Wednesday I have the first major assignment for the science-y class due, similarly will indicate if I should stay or drop.
If both turn out super well - everything-went-better-than-expected - and I'll hold on til next major assignment or drop date (mid march)
If one goes horribly bad, I may use that as rationale and cut that specific class.
If both go horribly bad, ....we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

At least this mess ends March. Or April. Definitely before May.

oh yeah btw my mom got a new job ok bye

Reed and Red

This week was reading week, and it whipped by really fast. It was a very nice week, getting time to spend with a certain someone has helped me feel more confident and level headed.

Highlights included a trip out to a small town where that certain someone, my cousin and I toured a museum, mostly for star trek, but it felt more like a prop collection more than anything. It was very interesting though, and the guide there was really informative and friendly and made the collection 'come to life' so to speak. I think my favourite part was a certain someone getting to hold the script Daniel Radcliffe used in the third Harry Potter movie. (I'm not that certain someone but I'd much rather it had been her than I, she definitely deserved it.)

I'm now getting back into the swing of school and plan to maybe spend the next two days at school crunching to get assignments finished while also practicing my speech.

oh yeah btw i got my first big speech tuesday, ill try to not die ok cool

Eric Riccy: "Producer"

I recently helped out a certain friend by broadcasting a sports talk show. I'm not big into sports, I think it's a lack of invested interested mostly that bars me from it. (I live in a household of CPUs and card games, lol) However it was surprising how fun it was to run the show. (Granted it was super easy once I fixed my errors) That said I dunno if I'll be doing it very often as parking is expensive and 2+ hours over the weekend and weeknights is time I may need for the (still growing) backlog of homework with due dates feeling like always the next day. But we'll see.

As for the broadcast, it was a basketball game, and a quite interesting one, starting from our team losing, then slowly catching up, then tie-ing, then in the last quarter taking lead slowly and ending with a win.

Since I did this cast, and as per a request from a friend of mine, I won't be doing RFR tomorrow, instead Pumping Up The Jams will take my place this weekend. If you most enjoy the rock music RFR plays, you'd enjoy this show.(plugplugplugplugplug)

Also as it is Reading Week and a certain someone will be in New City visiting very soon, PTE may have the exact schedule it has now.

alsox2 I skied today so everything I said about about no investment in sports is nullified and I'm a big liar.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY

New tab "Dev Blog" links to my other blog where I banter about designing and developing video games and the 'Ric Olzow' name. It has a link on that website which links back to PTE as well.

More Eric Riccy Content. YOU'RE WELCOME im sorry

"Speech Vs Science" Tetralemma

A few posts ago I mentioned how I was having some difficulties in a certain class. Whereas the difficulties have somewhat gotten lesser, the anxiety inflicted by the class and content remains.

On that note, another class is proving day by day to be problematic more and more. Innovation, the sciencey-turned-math class is becoming a deja vu of Microeconomics, which was a class which started out strongly, but then with the inclusion of math elements that intertwined in confusing ways led my mark to a near fail.
This class is heading that way.
Now, I may know what you're thinking.
"Oh riccy if you dont get something just ask the teacher."
I appreciate the same advice over and over...
But it doesn't help because when I'm confused over something it's never one little thing and it's difficult to explain what I don't get.
I'm basically not getting what I don't get. It's hard to explain, and you mix difficult to communicate with anxiety and you get never gonna ask the teacher because it'd be moot because I can't formulate what I don't get and I don't wanna ask it.

Anyway, I'm going to be watching both marks for both classes. I'm very tempted to drop both, but I know I  shouldn't. I don't wanna drop em because spending $$$ on the five classes set the entire household back, and dropping both is equal to losing a new refrigerator. At most I'd maybe settle for dropping one, but then it's a dilemma of: Drop sciencey math and have high anxiety for the rest of the semester over speech, or drop speech and have frustration and tanking marks due to sciencey math.
They're holding each other in place and trying to float both with the other 3 already causing me stress (weekly feature + radio show + ad writing + presentation for other gen ed + mega quiz with one-time-take that can destroy my mark and set my entire program back a year...)
is serving only to wear me out. It's frustrating and I don't know if I'm over reacting because of the anxiety or the frustration.

But it's definitely a Tetralemma.
Choose A, anxiety and potentially bad marks
Choose B, Frustration and potentially worse marks
Choose Both A and B, Anxiety and frustration and  potentially even worse marks.
Choose Neither A and B, guilt and monetary loss, leading to potentially bad marks.
