Initiators and Reciprocators (We're back babyyyyy!)

First and foremost, as you might've guess, world's shortest hiatus. (not actually but 4 days is relatively short at least)

After checking with my cousin, we figured out that I did actually set up the internet correctly, just forgot to give the router a pass-code. (which it has now. hackers pls go)
The reason my internet kept cracking out was my internet transmitter (which was beautifully out of date) decided that it was done existence. It's now changed and works perfectly, as well as everyone else's internet in the house.
That all said, our network is still called rics nedtwsorgkm. And will be indefinitely.

ON to the 'real post', I was talking to a relative of mine recently whom when I told him about my radio plans, worriedly told me that I'm probably screwed because radio makes no money and I should do trades.
I am aware that radio is not an especially monetary gaining sort of field, I'm walking into the school portion knowing that. I'm not going back on my plans however, sink or swim: I am trying radio.
(A later version of me may regret this and facepalm at this post. That alone makes it worth it. Heheh.)

Another thing he mentioned is that 'People who do radio have to be extroverts. Super people people, talkative, etc.', which though I was aware of, did lead me to think about my shyness.
That's right PTErs, I consider myself shy.

Something I thought about with the shyness bit is how the art of conversation works. There seems to be two roles in conversation, the initiators and the reciprocators. Initiators start the conversations, they're the first to say hello, first to make a call, first to invite, first to come up with topics and things to say. Reciprocators continue the conversation, they respond, they pick up the phone, they play along with the topic and maybe change it if the initiator doesn't first.
What this has to do with my shyness is I've figured I'm a near A+ reciprocator, and an almost failure initiator. I'll wholeheartedly admit I've always been terrible for reaching out to people to keep contact. (sorry guise) I rarely am first to say hello unless I feel gutsy enough to do it. Most times I feel like my hello will be unresponded, and my words a waste.
I have lots of thinking to do on how to address such, especially as I could see not being initiative enough as a hindrance to my success in radio.

Initiator or Reciprocator: Which are you better at?

PTE posting may get spotty or even die for a bit.

Abbridged version is my internet got shot in the face.
My mom switched the TV package and somehow our ISP managed to ruin our internet connection.
(Its the modem, I CHECKED.)
I managed to get internet working again by using the help line of the ISP, but uh..
yeah...

few things.

1) because i had to set up the network a few times i eventually called it rics network, which is what ended up sticking.
2) our network is now called rics nedtwsorgkm because I used my infamous broken keyboard to name it
3) this network i set up is extremely flippant and slow. when not 1998 speed, it dies.
4) how do i computer
5)

6) if this post actually posts then PTE is actually on hiatus

Rollin'

Halfway through May, things are started to get rolling. Works picked up pace, hours are "nice" and long, basically work is now eating all my time.
School's been set up very recently, I've signed up for all my courses for the first semester, paperwork's all done,
(aside from paying tuition and classes)
and I have my ID card, so radio is happening. PTE will keep updating on that as school unfolds.
I also have plans for July/August that may already be known.

More details on school though:
(since that's what's most interesting)

Classes for Fall Semester:

Introduction to Radio Writing
Intro:Broadcast Journalism
Intro to Radio Operations
Radio Performance

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited about school. I'm super nervous as I have no idea what I'm in for
(to an extent, I know uni now but I dunno what this program will be like)
but I do hope I'll at least do okay. I do have back up options in mind if things do not go well.
Broadcast is both my first Major and first actual program I got into.
Proof I was sitting and spinning at hometown's university.
(srry guys..)

No news on flash stuff because ain't nothing happening. Anyone who tells you Jenny's Quiz is getting a sequel is lying to you.
(You looked here expecting me to say something contradicting that, didn't you?)

Das All 4 now!

There may be spoilers in this post.
Maybe.

Taylor Day!

http://riccy.wikia.com/wiki/Taylor_Poshibole

I have to update it eventually. (I mean apparently according to it today doesn't even EXIST)

Today on PTE is Taylor Day! As is every 9th of May hereafter. (20 bucks says i forget next year) Taylor day is a celebration of cuteness and shyness and blondes and glasses and pretty flowers like poppies and the longer I make this list the shorter I live

If you're curious about the 'Taylor Redesign', you can clearly see she has glasses now. (All pun intended) (Or did she always but contacts? Her eye colour did keep changing from green to blue...has nothing to do with a forgetful animator...)

That's all I'm gonna say because I've dug myself a deep hole making this post.

We're back, babyyyyyyy!

The contest for Kaitlin's Birthday has been wrapped up, and our winner was the one and only Gamer Jay. His banner as seen above will be up from today, May 4th 2014, to June 5th, 2014. (Extended a day cuz I forgot to post it earlier lol)

This post also is here to indicate my resurgence into making more PTE post things. I've had a very nice vacation this past week spent with the most wonderful person. However it is back to business for us both, but I'm now quite inspired so I may be up to things again.

so uh
